First, the individuals who attend Pathways learned about the City Missions, discussing who they are, what they do for the community and helping others. Three groups from each of our locations (Westlake, Valley View and Mentor) participated in the activity. Second, the process was broken up into four days, counting bags, napkins, cookies, chips, water and fruit. Everyone figured out together how many pieces of bread and how much peanut butter and jelly was needed to make 140 sandwiches. Some groups prepared the food, some packed the bags and others helped with counting the items. Tim, a Pathways participant, helped Gina, project coordinator deliver the meals to The City Mission. Everyone worked as a team to create a great opportunity to give back!
